Works fine for me. Got a 1.2.9 kernel.
A quick word on kernels:
There is absolutely no need to upgrade a kernel unless either your current
one is very inreliable with your hardware, or you need some piece of
functionality that isn't in an older one. Certainly the 1.2.X series is
adequate for almost all purposes (the most recent being 1.2.13 afaik). I have
my machine running for absolutely ages on a 1.1.19 kernel.
A quick word on usenet posting:
For those luck soles among us that have their Linux box hooked up to the
net, they should create a user account for themselves with the real name etc.
Appart from the system administration aspected of running from the root
account all the time, it is rather bad form to post or email from the root
account.
