Thank you very much for your quick reply. Thank you also for the
time you spent to research for a solution to this problem.
I have now managed to install POPLOG successfully. I solved the
problem by typing the command tcsh in my bash terminal window before
I started the installation. As soon as the terminal changed to tcsh
the installation script INSTALL_EVERYTHING_WITH_MOTIF worked
without any trouble.
I can now run pop11, clisp, and prolog. Just to let you know, my system
is using the latest stable kernel 2.6.3. So it seems that POPLOG is fine
with the 2.6 kernels.
