If people try to run Poplog on RedHat 7.3 they will find it necessary
to rebuild a number of core poplog files, presumably because libraries
have changed.
Some time ago I posted a set of notes describing how to do this.
Michael Worsley, of Praxis Critical Systems Ltd., kindly translated
my instructions into a shell script which automated the process, and
I placed that on the poplog web site here:
http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/poplog/tools/relinking.linux.poplog
Brian Logan has now made some further changes including defining
standard environment variables, using additional tests and coping with a
slightly more general collection of conditions, and using absolute path
names for system commands.
I have now installed his version at the above location, after adding
a bit at the end to print a reminder to rebuild any local saved images
e.g. in $poplocalbin
If you download the file, don't forget to make it executable, e.g.
chmod 755 relinking.linux.poplog.orig
The previous version is still available here, if anyone wants to compare
them:
