You can also strip the graphical characters from a file using something
like:

	basepop11 %noinit $popliblib/stripvedfile file > file.txt

See LIB * STRIPVEDFILE for details.

(I've no idea if there is a basepop11 image in the Linux dist --- use
"pop11" if it isn't).
