C is supported so you can invoke the others via C (or via a pipe or
socket to a process running another program).
The external interface in Pop-11 has many levels of complexity.
The simplest level is described in HELP EXTERNAL and
HELP NEWC_DEC
More complex matters are in REF EXTERNAL, REF DEFSTRUCT
REF EXTERNAL_DATA, and lots of X-related documentation files in
$usepop/pop/x/pop/ref/*
$usepop/pop/x/pop/help/X*
