In the POPLOG Help directory look at HELP RMS, which starts
| HELP RMS Bob Searle and Chris Mellish
|
| LIB RMS provides the basic facilities of a "Reason Maintenance System", as
| described in:
|
| "Truth Maintenance Systems for Problem Solving"
| Jon Doyle, MIT AI-TR-419, January 1978
I think it has been there since about 1984!
I believe Jim Hunter's medical expert systems project built some
kind or RMS or ATMS in Pop-11 some years ago. He's now in the
Computer Science Dept. Aberdeen University.
A Pop-11 theorem prover was described in the book
%A R Barrett
%A A Ramsay
%T Artificial Intelligence in Practice:Examples in Pop-11
%I Ellis Horwood
%D 1987
The code for this is in a local library at Sussex, called
"bookprogs" I think. The file is called tp.p
Allan is now at Dept of Computer Science, University College Dublin.
He may well have a more advanced version by now.
