A supplement to the previous message: in response to requests from
students working on projects, I have produced an autoloadable
extension to rclib, LIB rc_display_file.
It uses rc_display_strings to display a file in a scrolltext panel.
It can be used to display scrollable help information for a program,
as an alternative to using an Xved window.
I've updated HELP RCLIB to give information about this and also
better documentation on the more general rc_display_strings
procedure. This is all now in
http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/poplog/rclib.tar.gz
Has anyone used highlighting and selected text with XpwScrollText ?
I know Xved does it but I am not sure where the code is, and it
would be nice if someone had already produce a simple non-ved based
text selection mechanism that works with the XpwScrollText widget,
and can be copied and used without having to read books on X.
Thanks.
Aaron
