Why? I understand the policy of not making changes after a certain
date, but do not understand why exceptions cannot be made. If the
developers refuse to include this bug fix, why can't the fixed
version go into tehe contrib directory? Or a special subdirectory
of the contrib directory for "bug fixed versions that haven't
been quality tested for six months"? I suppose it would be out of
the question to edit just a comment into the buggy version saying
where a fixed version can be found?
Ultimately, at the very least, I would expect the bug-list that comes
with poplog to mention that a fix for the bug exists, and where it
can be obtained.
