is there either

1. a source distribution (and what is needed to bring that up on a new
   platform), or
2. a binary distribution for linux alpha (or what is needed to run the
   alphaunix version under linux)

I wouldnt mind trying to bring it up for alpha linux, but with such a
big download i would like to know that there is a chance of getting it
to run.
