Since ISL sell Sun Software is this special deal available from ISL,
or only direct from Sun?
I wonder how long a Solaris X86 port would take? If the x86 code
generator exists in Julian's Linux system, and all the Solaris 2.x
stuff is there on suns, how long would combining them take? (I seem
to recall that a similar combination of existing components once
took only a few weeks? But things have got more complex since then.)
Some of our students might really be tempted by an educationally
priced Solaris + Poplog for their PCs. Could be a good long term
investment.
