Yes, well err sortof..

Way back when, Sun released their XView toolkit implementation of the
OpenLook interface. Unfortunately if you used OpenLook via the OLIT
(OpenLook Intrinsics Toolkit), then you are SOL (S___ out of luck), as
Sun never released this Tk to the community (at least the last time I
checked which was admittedly a while back). Basically for historical
completeness: XView was a rework of Sun's original Sunview toolkit to
run under X and conform the OpenLook specification, and OLIT was a
mapping of the OpenLook toolset to match the Xtk style of
programming. Both systems have gone by the wayside and
have been replaced by Motif (newer Suns come with CDE and Motif), even
though IMHO OpenLook was actually better and more consistent than
Motif.

So, to now try and give you the short answer to your question. Yes you
can use OpenLook by way of XView. But no, if you used OLIT you are out
of luck. If you are interested in using XView check out your local
Linux ftp repository (e.g. I use sunsite.unc.edu here in the U.S. but
I'm sure there's a mirror in the U.K. somewhere).
