Steve,

Glad to hear you like it. Our FTP directory has had a huge number of
hits since I announced it so I think there's real interest out there.

Both of these work perfectly for me on Sparc Solaris Poplog V15.53.
I wonder whether there's something missing in your environment.
E.g. do
echo $pop_xved
That should give you something like
+..../startup.psv +..../xved.psv
The relevant environment variables are defined in
$popsys/popenv
i.e.
$usepop/pop/pop/popenv
That file should be sourced as a result of your doing
source $usepop/pop/com/poplog
Incidentally, at Birmingham we rebuild the pop-11 startup image to
include objectclass and rc_graphic, as well as converting all versions
of the editor so that the top row of function keys always does
mark start, mark last, clearhead, linedelete, cleartail, wordleftdel, wordrightdel,
etc.
on all keyboards, whether you use Ved or Xved.
Hope that's OK.
