This is the cause of your problem
> OS Name : SunOS
> OS Version : 4.1.3C
> Sussex POPLOG (Version 14.1 Wed Dec 18 16:11:11 GMT 1991)
Version 14.1 of Poplog made assumptions about stack location which were
violated in more recent versions of SunOS.
I had this problem about a year ago and it was, I seem to recall, solved
by upgrading to Poplog version 14.2.
You probably have a choice between getting V14.2 or V14.5 now.
Since ISL are now managing the distribution to UK academics I expect
someone from there will tell you how to order, etc.
