Where did you get your rpm from?

There isn't one yet for Poplog/pop11 as far as I know. If you look
at:

	http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/poplog/freepoplog.html

you will find versions of poplog for linux with and without motif that
are packaged as tarballs ( *.tar.gz), along with a lot of other stuff.

If someone has copied this and re-packaged it I would be interested to
know where you found it.

There are instructions for unpacking in the file mentioned there, in

	http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/poplog/new/install.txt

The instructions need to be re-writen and made clearer, when I have
time, or someone else does it, though at present they seem to work
for some linux users.

I have produced an alternative in the file
    http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/poplog/setup.tar.gz

copy that, and untar it into $poplocal/local

Then follow the instructions in the setup/AREADME file

Let me know if it works.

Poplog should normally go in /usr/local/poplog

Then /usr/local/bin/ can contain links to executables, or a single
executable poplog startup script made available, as in the above
setup package.

If you don't manage to sort things out after reading the installation
guide or after installing my setup file, post further queries to
comp.lang.pop or pop-forum, as I am about to go awayfor a few days.

Say exactly what you did and what was printed out, etc.

Have you used pop-11 previously? If not try the online primer

	http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/research/poplog/primer

also available on the free poplog site as a tar file that you can
install locally. There's also information at www.poplog.org
