This has little to do with Poplog and much to do with the way X stores its
fonts (and the proprietry way OpenLook uses fonts for various glyphs).

You would get the same problem using any other OL application in this way.

You'll need to either

	o install some OL fonts on your Slackware PC

or

	o specify some font aliases in the X server config files.

I can't help you with either of those though. Sorry.

Ps. I use RedHat linux with XFree86 and have been able to use it as an
XTerminal for HipWorks applications. But Hip is Motif based.
