Subject:Invoking POP11 From a Script
From:Matthew J Todd

-- I am tyring to write a small script file which will xon to another
machine and then run a pop11 program without me having to type in the
command e.g.

#!/bin/sh

(xon betty-lou
/bham/common/com/packages/poplog/alpha15.5.du.v0/pop/pop/pop11 <
/home/students/csai96/mjt/project/2client/2_high.p &)

which basically says:

(xon betty-lou pop11 < file.p &)

the problem is that it will not xon to the machine and compile the file
passed to pop11. Is there a way of precompiling a file or another way
in which to do this?

Matt
