Good. I fetched *3.tar.bz2.
I think ftp files should always be broken into < 1.4M pieces.
Here's my log of 'trying' to get it to run like by 'old' {2001 version?}
of 1553:--
1. bunzip2 -c poplog1553.linux.libc5.nox.2.tar.bz2 | tar xvf -
== OK see populated directories created.
2. set up 'enviroment' copying existing version's scripts and run poplog
== OK seems to run
3. copy vedinit.p from RH6.2 instaltn to /usr/local/poplog/pop/pop
and re-start
== OK now can do cursor arrows & own taylor-made keying
Test eg. : 8 + 5 => **13
4. help river
== loads and looks Ok
5. compile/run : lib river
== ;;; LOADING LIB river
!! But does'nt run like RH6.2 version ??
== ;;; DECLARING VARIABLE foreach
--> (msep: MISSING SEPARATOR (eg semicolon): foreach [)
6. Try: teach foreach ; mark-compile-run:---
vars x list;
[[a is big] [b is small] [c is big] [d is small]] -> list;
foreach [?x is big] in list do
it=>
[therefore ^x is heavy] =>
endforeach;
== ;;; DECLARING VARIABLE foreach
?? apparently 'foreach' not seen as a reserved word ?? !!
What should I do ?
