I've been playing with the Linux POPLOG version. It's great to have it
available to evaluate and use. I wanted to experiment a little with
some of the Windowing routines, but I've had some problems. Under an
a.out version of Linux, I can load the Xlib stuff just fine. Under an
ELF version I keep getting an error about being unble to find
"_start". Although the Linux installation is ELF it also has all of
the a.out compatibility stuff installed with it (Slackware 3.0, Linux
1.2.18) which is how I presume POPLOG runs. I can't seem to fool the
linker "ld" into only loading the a.out XLIB libraries without causing
the error.
Does anyone have any ideas that can help me get around the
problem I'm having??
