No. We've moved on a long way since that.

There was an Elf version which worked with Redhat 4.x, and stopped
working on Redhat 5.x

Recently that was fixed and works fine on 5.x, but doesn't work
with 6.x.

The developers of Linux seem to have something to learn about
backward compatibility.
