I usually use linuxmall, but cheapbytes is also good.  They both have old
versions (last I checked).

Huh?

I've installed Linux a few times over a phone line.  It's not that bad --
ANY installation is going to take enough time to require you to go find
something else to do, so bring along a book and read.  (Of course, Caldera
has a Tetris game as part of its install. :-)

You shouldn't have to copy any files; just use a install boot disk and
tell it you want to install over FTP.
