PPP is, if I recall correctly, a TCP/IP-over-a-phone protocol.

looks to have useful results.

Note that comp.lang.pop is about the programming language pop11
and the poplog system it lives in, plus the other supported languages
(Comon Lisp, Prolog, Standard ML). We have nothing to do with any
other protocols that happen to have names starting with "pop".
