I'm sorry, but to my knowledge there is no public domain implementation
of Poplog.

There is a commercial PC Pop-11 variant called Glow. A review appeared
in the May 92 edition of Byte. I've no idea how much it costs & where
you get it.

If you're a Mac user there is AlphaPop, available from Cognitive
Applications Ltd [1] which is another implementation of Pop-11 (quite an
old one tho' --- no lexical variables for example.) I think the student
special was about 120 quid.

Note: Glow & AlphaPop are implementations of Pop-11 *not* Poplog, you
don't get ML, Prolog, Lisp, VED, the libraries, the TEACH files, etc
etc.

I. Bruha implemented a version of Poplog at McMaster University called
McPOPLOG which has both Pop-11 and Prolog and roughly corresponds to
Poplog Version 11. I don't know how many machines it has been ported to,
or if it is in the public domain. For more information read [2], and
contact the author [3].

As for a Unix-Prolog interface.... Poplog Prolog has no Unix interface
itself, but you can certainly use the Pop-11 Unix interface from Prolog
via the mixed-language functions.

Hope this helps.
