Subject:restoring a system saved image

Can anyone explain to me why I cannot restart my current session by
restoring the saved image, e.g. startup.psv? Why does this not
work:

=======================================================================
unix% basepop11 +$popsavelib/startup

Sussex Poplog (Version 15.01 Wed Dec 6 12:10:25 GMT 1995)
Copyright (c) 1982-1995 University of Sussex. All rights reserved.

Setpop
: sysrestore('$popsavelib/startup.psv');

;;; MISHAP - crsv: CAN'T RESTORE - NOT SAME SYSTEM AND VERSION
;;; INVOLVING:
'/bham/common/com/packages/poplog/solaris.current/pop/lib/psv/
        startup.psv' '(Version 15.01 Wed Dec  6 12:10:25 GMT 1995)'
;;; DOING    :  pop_setpop_compiler

Setpop
:
=======================================================================

Why does it say "NOT SAME SYSTEM AND VERSION" when it clearly is
the same system and version?

Any suggestions for facilitating restarting pop11 without exiting
and starting again from unix?
